The AMERICAN LEGION is the World's Largest Veterans Organization.  'For God and Country,' our creed.       Eastern Shore Post 199 is located at 700 S. Mobile Street in Fairhope and is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.  Mailing address: P.O. Box 473,  Fairhope, AL  36533.  Tel:  251/928-9132.       The Legion Bar is open daily from 3 to 11pm.  Open 1pm Saturday and  Sunday. MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION    Regular Membership Dues - $ 35 per year.    SONs of the American Legion - $ 20 / yr    Auxiliary Membership - $ 15 / yr A monthly newsletter is sent to all members.  Call or visit the Legion Bar for membership qualifications and applications.  Or, copy the membership application in this web site and join Post 199 of the American Legion TODAY!  At present, there are over 400 members in the Post 199 family.

ROUTINE ACTIVITIES:

   Post 199 Meetings - Quarterly meetings on 3/14, 6/13, 9/12 and 12/12/2010.

   Open Guitar Jams - each Friday starting at 7pm.

   Saturday Nite Blues - each Saturday in the Club Bar starting at 8pm.

   Sunday  Bloody Marys- Sundays 11am -2pm. In Club Bar, on the DECK or TIKI BAR !

   Ladies Nite Specials - Tuesdays from 5-8pm

   Monthly Music Concerts in Hall or on the Beach Stage - see Calendar of Events.

   BBQs on July 4th and Labor Day.

   Memorial Day Ceremony and Luncheon.

   Veterans Day Flag Raising Ceremony and Luncheon.

POST BAR - ALWAYS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC !

   Beer Specials - everyday!

   Pitchers of draft beer at discount prices.  Wine and other liquors by the drink, toasted snack items, popcorn and lively conservation in the bar where American Legion 'tee' shirts sell for only  $ 7 and the highly acclaimed Post 199 Music Jam C/D is available for $ 10.

   House guitars are available for bar patrons as long as the playin' and singin' are reasonably well done and not too loud.

LEGION FACILITY RENTAL RATES:    Hall and Kitchen - $ 200 per day + cleaning deposit.    Outdoor Activities Stage, Tiki Bar and Beach - $ 150 + cleaning deposit.    Rent Indoor Hall & all Beach Facilities - $ 350 + cleaning deposit. Private and Business Meetings, Weddings, Reunions, Club Parties, Workshops and Special Interest Group Gatherings.  All are welcome. All alcoholic beverages consumed on Legion property must be purchased through Post 199.  No private coolers are permitted at the Legion during any organized activity or while the bar is open.  And please, no glass bottles on the beach.
