*** MUSICIANS FOR MUSIC ***

The 'Musicians for Music' project was founded by Mike Leff in 2003 as a fund raiser for the family of Bert Baisden, a local musician who died earlier that year.  The concept grew quickly as a fund raiser to provide music scholarships to aspiring musicians and to help fund music programs at local schools and churches.

Mike Leff died October 19, 2004.  Much too early in his life but he saw his MFM Concerts garner huge success, raise many thousands of dollars and record the music for a C/D from the highly successful MFM concert Labor Day Weekend, September 5, 2004.

There are two MFM concerts each year at the American Legion in which musicians donate their talents for the benefit and encouragement of future (and financially needy) musicians.  'Musicians helping Musicians' was another title that Mike sometimes gave the program.
